Digital Breakout EDU

Hack the classroom and join us for an immersive digital games platform for learners of all ages in any content area. In Digital Breakout EDU games, students work collaboratively or independently to solve a series of critical thinking puzzles in order to open a digital locks online. The games are designed to be accessed using a computer or tablet. Mini-puzzles are solved to find the answers to open the locks. Breakout of routine and jumpstart critical thinking in your students with Digital Breakout EDU.

This course is designed to introduce teachers to the digital version of Breakout EDU. Teachers will experience digital breakout games from the students’ perspective. They will plan their own games using their content in their subject areas to build the clues. They will publish their Digital Breakout games on their own pages.

Participants will:
  • actively Participate in a Breakout EDU activity
  • access Resources for creating digital Breakout EDU activities
  • plan their own digital breakout games around the content of their units.
  • publish their digital breakout games on their own webpages for students and others to access.


Breakout EDU requires students to use the 4 Cs: Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking and Communication.
